SntJohnny said,

Harry's back stateside but hasn't posted.  Not sure what's going on.

My aikido instructor said, "It only takes six weeks to break a habit." Harry's had considerably more than that many.
He never calls.
He never writes.
I feel so USED!

I finished reading the thread after I posted the above, and so I see that Harry HAS since posted.
Welcome back, Harry. And the rest of you, as well.
For those of you who may not already know, I was "NOjc4ME" on DTF, (and when I started here, btw). I dumped the screen name because it was so negative, when in real life I'm more positive and happy than all that "no to this" and "no to that" stuff. I even wrote a (I guess you could call it a) 'script' for if/when I get asked about my status re: salvation and whether I'm heaven- or hell-bound. Most of that script is positive informational statements from the TANAKH, with only a few negative ones, and those are not necessarily "refuting christian dogma" related, per se. It's for my own use. I have a small business card sized one in my wallet, and a post card sized one (with some excerpts from pertinent Biblical verses on it), laminated and in the pocket on the driver's side door of my car. I printed them out on my computer and printer. I'm really quite happy with the way they turned out. I also culled several "oaths" from various sources and put those on 3 X 5 sized cards, printed up some astronomical photos (including one of the constallation of Orion), placed them back-to-back, printed sides out, and laminated those for use as bookmarks. Every time I pick up and open the book they're in, I read the bookmarks BEFORE I return to reading the book.

I  hear  ya.  Even when as a young Christian I eventually learned to hate my own upbringing.. but I was happy .. this was my gift.  I eventually relearned how to understand my growing pains... and in my middle age I'm the the more aggressive than the youth in showing how life can be loved...no matter the view.  No I meet the youth who has no way to show love at all.. disturbing.  I meet one or two who go beyond..they are the gifted in some or many ways.

Even I remember debating dendrochronology with SntJohnny on DTF.

How are you all doing?

PHIL?!?!?!?

Dude, I'm sorry.  I didn't know that you were THAT Phil!  I may have been a little more active in replying to you.  I thought you were a new Phil.  And I did sort of wonder why the new Phil was bothering to stick around even though it was so dead...

Man. I feel really bad now.  It all makes sense now.
