Homosexuality: hereditary or Choice
« on: October 27, 2004, 09:03:31 PM »

I believe that homosexuality is a choice because I know of people who were homosexuals and have left that lifestyle with God's grace.

yes.

and no.

are homosexual feelings a choice?  From everything i have heard, no... just like (nearly) all of our thoughts are not choices.

Are homosexual actions a choice?  Like every action... yes.

Kinda feel the same way, Jason.  Only a little different.  :?

Homosexual feelings aren't likely a choice, but the actions are.  Cant really control who your attracted to.  For the most part, you have one thing that really turns your head.  Blonde, Brunette, race...something specific.

Bisexual feelings are likely a choice all of the way around.  A person is not likely inhearantly attracted to both sexes.  Personal opinion there.

How in the world could homosexuality be a choice?
Last time I checked it took a male and a female to have children!

I think yes and no. If you are raised in a certain setting or environment (around parents and etc.) that are homosexual then you will have that pressure to be like them. (ex.) Baby-X and the experiment where they never told the baby if it was a female or male. The baby never knew what gender it was so they had to abandon the experiement. It showed scientists and researchers that the environment you are raised in does play a vital role in who you are (characteristic wise). However, people can change if they want to. We control our actions for the most part and our thoughts. I definately believe that if someone was homosexual in his early childhood that he could definately change. For the most part, I would have to say it is a choice though.

When I was in basic training there was a squad leader named Cooper that the TI intentionally put in that position to watch us strip a gear when he called cadence (marching count, orders, etc.)  This guy was so confusing he couldn't get straight in his head what to call to turn the column.  Looked like Animal House when they went down the dead end street.

"Column left", kida like follow the leader. the squad would turn left in order.  "Column right", same thing only turn right.  "Halt" and "forward march" are pretty much no brainers.

Anyway, this fella would call out orders like "Column Leftright...HALT".  Your feet and legs would almost implode from trying to get this right.

Hey, AntiChrist, your last name Cooper by chance?
