No... I am not currently at - heist.  I work for  my money :D

No... I am not currently athiest.

Yes.. I am currently a - thiest. :P

Concerning your sig.

Briefly, Atheists strive to live the best moral kind of life they can while they are alive.

Good.  What are your reasons for this?

It is my opinion that if more people lived lives with high moral and ethical standards, knowing this life is all there is, they would not be afraid of death.

Good thing that this is just a personal noted opinion.  Nevertheless, are you and other athiests (as you believe) living in some type of fear?  Fear of what?

Whereas, theists/deists worry about whether or not they have complied with the rules and dogma of cults or religions.

Perhaps that is the fear of the non-athiests?  Perhaps most (a - or non a -thiests) all fear the same thing?

They would not be worried about going to hell. They would not regret a life of "sin" because they know they have done the best they could.

My personal take on this is that there is all kinds of fear.  And to be human is to fear something.  And "regret" is also a part of human experience, regardless if you believe in a god or God or no G/god.

"Knowing" this life is all there is might actually make me want to NOT die, I think.

I'm not technically atheist. I'm agnostic. But I do think it good to officially register that I do not currently believe in or worship any kind of higher being.

Do you think then, that there MIGHT be a higher being?  And, perhaps, you wish to learn of Him?

If I didn't think there MIGHT be one, I wouldn't bother calling myself agnostic.  :)

Okay.  Its just that i've read elsewhere where some couldn't make up their mind whether they were really agnostic ....or maybe athiest.  One person I read thought they were agnostic..but after some questions and arguing decided he was really athiest.  lol.

Some agnostics have a bent toward atheism, and some atheists have a bent toward agnosticism. I actually have a slight bent toward theism, to tell the truth, though it's not substantial enough to affect my examination of evidence. If anything, it makes me a bit more open to religious ideas than the average skeptic, which could actually be a good thing.

I hear ya.  Knowing yourself to begin with is a good start.  And being open to other ideas protects one from being shortsighted (i think).  As for myself, you can probably call me christian since I have purposely closed myself to what I think can be found the truth between the book of Genesis and Revelation (bible - and not necessarily the KJV :D )  But that does not mean that I cannot include other ideas (writings) outside what I have closed myself into.  What I said will maybe sound confusing but I understand it perfectly well for myself since I think I know myself best.  With other words, I do my best to be open to all presented ideas too.

What is there that gives you this slight bent towards theism?

I'm not really sure. Maybe it's just that I was recently Christian.

Okay.  But if you ever figure out what made you to be "recently christian" then I'd love to hear the reasons.

Don't go complaining to me when you get liver problems.
And most certainly don't have a fridge in  your car.
